Location
The apartment lies in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, in the province of Florence, between Castelfiorentino and Certaldo, the birthplace of Boccaccio. The Castello di Oliveto winery is a 10-minute walk or 2 minutes by car, and two supermarkets are less than a 10-minute drive away. Certaldo, where a funicular climbs to the medieval upper town and its breathtaking views, is 10 minutes by car, as is Castelfiorentino. San Gimignano is 25 minutes away and Volterra 45 minutes. Further afield, Siena and Pisa are each about 50 minutes by car, and Florence and Lucca about an hour. The beaches of Versilia on the Tuscan coast are around 1 hour and 15 minutes away. The nearest international airports, Florence and Pisa, are both about a 50-minute drive from the property.
