Location
The property is situated in a wonderful location in Tuscany, in the heart of the Maremma. From here, you can reach the most beautiful destinations year-round thanks to the mild climate. Evocative rock settlements, medieval villages and fortifications (Pitigliano 5 km, Sovana 11 km, and Sorano 13 km), centuries of history, and all the flavors of a generous land that produces top-quality olive oil and wine. We are in the southern Maremma region of Tuscany, bordering the Tuscia region of Lazio and Umbria, a stone's throw from Lake Bolsena (30 km), the Terme di Saturnia (27 km), the Terme di Sorano (13 km), and Orvieto (50 km). For wonderful days by the sea, the main towns of Monte Argentario: Porto Ercole (66 km), Porto S. Stefano (65 km), and Talamone (65 km). You can enjoy guided excursions (just ask the owner upon arrival), trekking and cultural days along the Etruscan Vie Cave, through impenetrable forests, and thermal springs. From July to early September, you can join the owner for nighttime walks in the vineyard, and from March to October, you can enjoy butterfly watching on your own in a dedicated area on the property.
In Pitigliano (5 km), you'll find shops, services, and excellent restaurants. The closest airport is Rome's Leonardo da Vinci Airport, about a 2-hour drive away.
