The area is known for its forests, meadows, and quiet valleys and makes a good starting point for walking or cycling in the region, especially for exploring the Kolpa River valley. The riverside hamlets of Kuželj and Slavski Laz (a 15-minute drive), with marked walking paths, hanging bridges, make great destinations for light hikes. There is a supermarket a 20-minute drive away, and a restaurant a 12-minute drive from the accommodation.
Nestled among the greenery, the property is situated a 6-minute drive from Kostel Castle and about an hour’s drive from Krajinski Park Kolpa natural park with its forests, meadows, wildlife, and lots of easy trails, swimming areas, and picnic spots.
For day trips, guests can plan a visit to Ljubljana (a 1-hour and 20-minute drive), Slovenia's captivating capital or take a trip to the thermal spa town of Dolenjske Toplice (a 1-hour drive) with its thermal pools, wellness centres, and quiet walking paths.
