High up in Malcantone, an area famous for its natural beauty and hiking, this charming village house can sleep up to 5 people. With wonderful mountain views and a pretty terraced garden, it makes the ideal base for friends or family looking to escape into unspoiled countryside.
A flight of stone steps leads up to the front door which opens to reveal the attractive, traditional interiors. Archways on either side of the entrance hall lead to the sitting room and dining room. The cosy living room is furnished with a contemporary sofa, an armchair and a flat-screen TV. Across the hallway, in the beamed dining room, there is a dining table for elegant meals. A door leads to the separate kitchen, which is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, a Delizio coffee machine and fridge/freezer.
Stairs lead up to the bedrooms.

Bedroom 1: The light-filled master bedroom is furnished with a double bed and wooden wardrobe. Outside on the communal landing, a door leads out to a private balcony with stunning mountain views.

The house is in the small village of Fescoggia which is in the heart of Malcantone, a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. It is ideally placed for guests looking for an active and exciting holiday in this beautiful part of Switzerland. The beaches of Lake Lugano (Lido di Magliaso and Lido di Agno) are just a 25-minute drive. The Lido di Agno is an ideal spot for kayaking and swimming in the clear lake.
Guests will find a selection of supermarkets in the town of Agno (25 minutes). For the freshest local produce head to the farmers market, which takes place Tuesday and Friday mornings in central Lugano (30 minutes)
Lugano is packed with things to see including MASI, The Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland, which hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. There are many delicious restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy the best of Italian and Swiss cuisines.
The closest international airports are in Italy; Milan Malpensa 1 hour 20 minutes by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 40 minute journey.
