The town has a rich history with medieval streets, elegant villas and the town's most prominent landmark Castello di Arco (a 10-minute walk / 6-minute drive). The castle is perched on a rocky outcrop above the town and enjoys views of the valley and Lake Garda. Arco is surrounded by the mountains of the Southern Alps and attracts climbers from all over the world. The town hosts the annual Rock Master Festival, a major international climbing competition. Visitors can also enjoy hiking, mountain biking and paragliding in the surrounding countryside. Nearby Lake Garda also offers opportunities for sailing, windsurfing, and swimming.
