The exciting Porto Antico (20 minutes) is a lively area that includes restaurants, shops, the modern Aquarium di Genova, the biosphere, an outdoor swimming pool and the Vascello Neptune, a replica of a 17th Century galleon. In the city’s “Centro Storico”, visitors can enjoy the elegant squares and palaces. The glorious Romanesque San Lorenzo cathedral is 20 minutes away and Piazza de Ferrari is 17 minutes. Guests can easily explore the city and experience authentic city life. Genoa’s beaches are within easy reach. Just head east along the coast to the Lido di Genova (22 minutes) and the Spiaggia di Boccadesse (22 minutes). The famous resort town of Portofino (50 minutes) makes a wonderful day trip.
