Location Lugano is packed with interesting activities and sights and the apartment’s central location makes it very easy to explore the city on foot. The Palazzo dei Congressi events centre is a quick 6-minute walk, in the Parco Ciani (5 minutes) which offers stunning views of the lake. A day trip on the Lago Lugano is a must. Lugano Centrale ferry terminal is just a 4-minute walk from the apartment. Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake, is close by. Another favourite is Piazza della Riforma (3-minute walk), the heart of the city. It is a beautiful square lined with excellent restaurants and cafés. For self-catering, there are many excellent food shops in the city, as well as the farmers market on Tuesday and Friday which is almost on your doorstep in Via Carducci (2 minutes walk). The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 10 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 30 minute journey.
